Mr. Crouso: Please provide a quote for one SN 600 Grid Magnet, Neodymium.
This grid magnet will be used below a manhole drain cover to collect iron particles.
(Internal Comment): This is Mr. Kendall Crouso's first mail correspondence. His concern is that it cannot be converted into product.
Our Comment to Mr. Crouso: As your application is under a drain cover, we recommend a 1mm thickness of SS304 tube, which will be better for wear resistance. The surface gauss is 7500-8000Gs. Our quotation, together with our drawing, is enclosed.
(Internal Comment): We suspect it may be necessary for wear resistance; therefore we will advise and provide quote.
Mr. Crouso: We need a grid magnet that will capture micron size iron or steel particles and not be washed away by high flowing water. I don’t know what surface gauss value we will need. All I know is that we need to capture as much iron or steel particles as possible in order to pass our environmental testing.
(Internal Comment): After reading our first email response and referencing our design drawings, Mr. Crouso is clear about real demand!
Our Comment to Mr. Crouso: Higher-grade magnets provide higher surface gauss, and higher surface gauss can capture smaller particles. As you said, this grid will capture micron size iron; therefore, we still suggest 11000-11500Gs.
Please kindly find our quotations and drawings for RN600/SN550/RN550 and SN450. The total price is close to 1000usd.
(Internal Comment): We offered several models. Mr. Crouso finally ordered RN550
Mr. Crouso: I inspected the Grate Magnet and found it to be exactly what I expected.
(Internal Comment) His evaluation after received the goods.
